Jeweled Peony Maxi Skirt

So do you guys remember the skirt I made for Houston Quilt Market? Maybe you don't, because, you know, sometimes things like that, like what I wear on a day to day basis, isn't that important to everyone else. But! If you did see it, maybe you want to make one for yourself? I've been meaning to put this up on my blog forever, so here it is, now!

Okay, looking back, I guess the mannequin wore it for most of the time. Oh well.
So here's the good news: it's not my own pattern, it belongs to A Small Snippet. I found it there, and the instructions are so easy to follow, and to customize to your own size. I'm a huge fan of pockets (who isn't, am I right?), and this spells out the instructions for adding pockets super clearly. I added a foot of contrast fabric to the bottom of my skirt, for fanciness. This is done by simply sewing two pieces together. Shazam! Two tone skirt!

I hope you enjoy making yourself a Luxe in Bloom Maxi Skirt! Always remember you can post pictures of your projects to the Luxe in Bloom Flickr Group!

On Thursday Art Gallery Fabrics is sponsoring a giveaway, so make sure to check back tomorrow!
